ANANTNAG OCTOBER 16: World Egg Day celebrated all over the world on every 2nd Friday of October is about recognizing the egg as an incredibly unique source of protein and essential nutrients, all within an accessible and affordable package.

This year the theme for the egg day was “Eggs for a better life”. In this regard, World Egg Day was celebrated at Anantnag by Animal Husbandry Department.

The main event was organised at District Veterinary Complex Anantnag with about 50 participants including the Officers of the Campus. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Anantnag Dr. Nisar Ahmad Khan briefed the participants about the nutritive importance and health benefits of Eggs and stressed on ensuring presence of eggs in daily diet.

Informative Pamphlets regarding importance of Egg were distributed among the participants and Clean and Hygienic fresh egg sale counter was established for the participants.

World egg day was also celebrated in all block headquarters with full enthusiasm to signify the importance and health benefits of consuming Eggs.
