Asks officers to play proactive role for successful conduct of programme

KUPWARA, JULY 23: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir today chaired a meeting of all concerned Officers, here to review the preparations for celebrations of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme to mark the 75th Independence Day under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.

The meeting discussed in detail various aspects related to successful implementation of the programme.

It was given out in the meeting that as per the instructions given by the Lieutenant Governor, a series of activities have been planned by the different departments to mark the celebrations. The DC impressed upon all concerned officers to make strenuous efforts for running the campaign in a befitting manner.

The Block Level Committees and Sectoral Officers were directed to do necessary mobilization of people at grassroots level and ensure participation of all sections of society in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme.

Besides, it was enjoined to organize Essay Competitions, Seminars, Symposiums and quiz programmes in Educational institutions for enhancing the understanding of freedom movement among the students.

The DC also enjoined upon all the officers/Officials and Nodal officers to go through the Flag Code and follow Standard protocol to honour the National Flag.

SSP Kupwara, SP Handwara, ADC Kupwara; SDM Lolab/Karnah, Assistant Commissioner Development; Assistant Commissioner Panchayats, Chief Education officer, District Information Officer, Tehsildars, Block Development officers, CDPOs, besides, senior Army, CRPF and BSF officers attended the meeting.
