DDC Rajouri reviews implementation of key initiatives in Education sector

RAJOURI, JULY 15: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today took a comprehensive review of the Education Sector here at a meeting of the concerned officers held in the Conference Hall of the DDC office complex.

The DC reviewed progress under Nipun Bharat, Talash, digital literacy program, the Clean-Schools-Green-Schools initiative, School Sanitation program etc.

It was apprised that 1532 out of school children have been enrolled in the schools across the district under Talash campaign, while all the educational institutions are organising host of activities as prescribed under My School My Pride initiative.

Similarly, under the Clean School Green Schools initiative the students are being made aware of environmental problems and motivated towards cleanliness and sanitation, the meeting was told.

While discussing the School sanitation program, the DDC asked the concerned officers to ensure that all schools of the district have functional toilets and drinking water facilities.

Seeking the progress report on establishment of kindergartens in the district, the meeting was apprised that the DPRs for 100 schools approved under kindergarten have been submitted to the concerned authorities.

Likewise, the meeting also reviewed activities under Ek Bharat Shershat Bharat, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Nipun Bharat, Padega Tbhi to Badega Bharat and Beti Anmol initiatives.

The DDC impressed upon the department to take concrete measures to strengthen and improve education sector in the district and ensure that quality education was provided to the students

The meeting was attended by CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; CEO Education, Shailash Kumari; AD Planning, Mohammad Rafi and other concerned officers.
