Blind Cricket Match played at Sports Stadium Batapora, Shopian

SHOPIAN, JUNE 30: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya and Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Department, Bashir Ahmed, the Department of Youth Services and Sports District Shopian in collaboration with District Administration Shopian today organised a Blind Cricket Match, first of its kind at Sports Stadium Batpora, here.

The Match was inaugurated by District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Gurmukh Singh Dutta.

On the occasion, South Blind Cricket Team and Central Blind Cricket team locked horns against each other resulting in Central Cricket Team winning the match.

The winner and runner up teams were awarded with trophies and all the players were awarded with certificates and uniforms by DYSSO Shopian.

The officers and officials of Youth Services and Sports Department, besides a large number of people were present to watch the match.
