DC B’pora distributes awards among Best Performing Schools under SVP

BANDIPORA, JUNE 24: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed on Friday distributed awards among best performing schools under Swachh Vidyalaya Puraskar (SVP).

The award ceremony was organised by the Department of Education in collaboration with District Administration Bandipora at the mini secretariat, here.

Dr. Owais distributed awards among 19 schools of the district for showing best performance in maintaining cleanliness, sanitation and proper hygiene. He congratulated and applauded school heads and students of the best performing schools.

He said earlier the District Administration started the Shafaf Bandipora campaign in which all the educational institutions participated in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in and outside schools.

He also stressed on minimising the use of Single use plastic.

Highlighting the importance of cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation, the DC directed all the schools to focus on cleanliness parameters and to perform best in Swachh Vidyalaya puraskar competitions.

The programme was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Bandipora, M Ashraf Hakak; Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Ghulam Mohammad Lone; principals, ZEOs, School Heads of best performing schools and students.
