Samba-Sumb Road contractor slapped with 133 CrPC section for delaying work
SAMBA, JUNE 22: As part of Weekly Block Diwas, Deputy Commissioner Samba Anuradha Gupta today convened a Public Outreach Camp here at panchayat Samlah of hilly block Sumb and listened to public grievances.
District Development Council Vice Chairman, Balwan Singh;Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Ravinder Kumar; Assistant Commissioner Development, Sidharath Dhiman, Tehsildar, BDO, DPO, besides Executive Engineers from PWD PDD and Jal Shakti (PHE) were also present.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the district officers to put in collective efforts to achieve 100% saturation of all government sponsored schemes in the area.
Responding to the public demands, she directed the officers to immediately formulate Panchayat Development Plans by taking the PRI members and other stakeholders on board. “The plans should meet the developmental aspirations and demands of the locals for augmentation of roads, water and power supply and much needed rural infrastructure “said the DC samba.
The DC sought immediate action on replacement of damaged water pipelines, Block topping of Samba Goran Road, formulation of DPR for restoration of the abandoned School Park and augmentation of power supply. The DC also sought a detailed report on the status of health infrastructure, functioning of Pani Samities, status of RDD and other development works.
The DC informed that 133 CrPC section has been slapped on the contractor for delaying the work on Samba-Sumb Road. She said the Black topping work of the road has been started and the long standing demand of the area for proper road connectivity will be met soon.
Later, the DC also inspected the ongoing road work in Samlah Panchayat and directed revenue officials to complete the land acquisition process for its early completion. The DC also directed Chief Education Officer Samba and Executive Engineer PWD to prepare a DPR for development of the abandoned school Park to benefit the local youth.
