One Day Workshop/ Training program for Digitization of Jamabandies held at Baramulla

BARAMULLA, JUNE 21: One Day Workshop cum Training programme for digitization of Jamabandies for field functionaries of Revenue Department Baramulla was today organized at Dak Bungalow here under the Supervision of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar.

The workshop cum Training program was held under Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILMP).

Among others, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars besides Patwaris and Girdawars of the district attended the Workshop cum Training Programme.

The session included practical demonstration training regarding writing/ preparation/ updation of jamabandies to the field staff to get error free jamabandies prepared for successful digitization of revenue records.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC informed the participants about the importance of digitization of the revenue records in the district. She said that the project envisages transparency and clarity in the title of the land holders, which will ultimately minimize the land disputes.

The DC also set a deadline for completion of digitalized Jamabandies across the district as 10th July, 2022.

She further directed the concerned to select master trainers to have such training and demonstration sessions in sub division levels so that necessary training is imparted to the field functionaries besides exhorted upon them to have a quality check of Jamabandies by concerned Patwaris.
