Signature Campaign for Elimination of Child Labour held at Bandipora

BANDIPORA, JUNE 16: As part of the week long campaign for elimination of Child Labour, signature campaign was today held at Bandipora.

The week-long campaign is organised jointly by Integrated Child Protection Services, Labour Department, JKSWM, Alim Adab Aab Foundation and Elixir Garden School.

The signature campaign was today organised in collaboration with Traders Federation Bandipora at main market Bandipora to spread the awareness about the child labour.

A good number of participants including students, employees, traders and various civil society representatives took part in the  campaign and took pledge to fight against child labour.

The week long campaign was kick started on 12th June under the Guidance of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Dr. Owais Ahmed.

Gowhar Mahmood, Child Protection Official, ICPS, Bandipora said that Child Labour is a social problem and every section of society need to come forward for eradicating this menace.

Rehana Akhter, Secretary, JKSWM, during the signature campaign appealed to the general public and educational institutions to come forward and to cooperate and coordinate with all such organizations and departments who are working for child protection.

She also thanked all the departments, organizations and participants for taking their active part and role in today’s signature campaign and for making it a great success.
