Gulab Gaatha screened in Reasi

REASI, JUNE 12: Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial Trust held screening of Film ‘Gulab Gaatha’ at the Auditorium Hall of Mini Secretariat Complex Reasi here today. The screening was held to commemorate the 200th anniversary of coronation of Maharaja Gulab Singh, the founder of the erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir state.

Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal was the chief guest on the occasion.

 The screening was done in collaboration with district administration and Natrang theatre group. The film has been made with guidance of Dr Karan Singh to celebrate the life and works of Maharaja Gulab Singh.

The film Gulab Gatha was screened at the Auditorium of DC Complex Reasi with three shows. The locals appreciated and thanked the District administration for the initiative.

Director of the film, Balwant Thakur said that lots of research and collaborative effort has been done to bring Gulab Gatha to the public. The film documents the journey of Maharaja Gulab Singh from working as a soldier to becoming the founder of one of the largest princely states of India.
