Range Officer Trainees from Maharashtra interact with Chief Wildlife Warden

 JAMMU, JUNE 09: 54 A group of Range Officer Trainees from Kundal Academy of Development, Administration and Management on Thursday visited the Manda Zoo and interacted with the Chief Wildlife Warden , Suresh Kumar Gupta and Conservator Wildlife Dr. Kumar M.K.

The Range Officer Trainees were from the States and UTs of Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Jammu and Kashmir.

The Chief Wildlife Warden highlighted the importance of wildlife and wildlife areas with particular reference to Jammu and Kashmir. He called upon the trainees to use the training period to acquire knowledge of latest technologies and management interventions. He also advised the trainees to imbibe discipline and sincerity to the service as they have got opportunity to protect the nature and environment for posterity.

Dr. Kumar M.K advised the trainees to acquire the knowledge of forestry and wildlife for practical implementation during their services in the department. Trainees had a round of Nature Interpretation Centre Manda and Manda Zoo wherein they were briefed by Anil Atri, Wildlife Warden, Jammu and  Amit Sharma, Wildlife Warden, Jambu Zoo explaining about the management of Zoo and protection and conservation of wildlife.

Accompanying faculty presented the vote of thanks and programme was coordinated by Dr. Arun Gupta, Wildlife Warden Headquarter.
