GANDERBAL, MAY 12: Social activist and District Secretary Apni Party Ganderbal Mohammad Amin Shah appreciated the inspection of District Hospital Ganderbal carried out by newly appointed Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir to ensure best possible facilities and proper medical attention to be provided for each patients and availability of medical staff for the smooth functioning of hospital.

Shah said that District Ganderbal have enough trained doctors, B.Sc Nurses, Lab Technicians and other skilled people available but still there has been enough shortage of staff since DH Ganderbal started functioning and this has been the main problem in smooth functioning of hospital and suffering of patients. Technical staff is not available to operate the machines in hospital.

Shah added that people of Ganderbal need to visit Srinagar hospitals to undergo CT Scan, MRI, endoscopy etc as such facilities are not available in Ganderbal hospitals. These issues have been raised in previous district administration also but we have not seen any initiative. We hope that current District administration Ganderbal will take necessary steps to make facilities like CT Scan, Endoscopy, MRI facilities available in district hospital Ganderbal and recruit enough paramedical staff for smooth functioning of District hospital, Sub District Hospitals, PHC’s and other medical centers to combat the shortage of manpower so that people of Ganderbal need not have to turn to hospitals in Srinagar.
