NC Sarpanch among three arrested with contraband substances in Budgam

National Conference Sarpanch was among three arrested with contraband substances in Dadina area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

Official sources told news agency that three persons were arrested with 350 tablets of Alprazolam and Heroin like substance by a police party of Budgam headed by inspector Mehboob during a naka checking at Dadina on the day of Eid-ul-fitr.

They identified the arrested persons as Suja Abbas son of Ghulam Hyder Malik resident of Waterwani who is the sarpanch of National Conference, Shahid Ali Rather son of Ali Mohammad resident of Khumani Chowk and Barkat Ali Allaie son of Ghulam Hussain, resident of Labertal Budgam.

A police officer confirmed the incident to news agency and said that a case under FIR No. 130/22 under section 8/21-22 NDPS act was registered at police station Budgam and further investigations have been set into motion.
