DIG CKR Shri Sujit Kumar- IPS visited District Ganderbal, Held Meeting with District Police Officers Regarding Security Scenario and Amarnath ji Yatra Preparations

Today, Deputy Inspector General of Police CKR Shri Sujit Kumar-IPS visited District Police Office Ganderbal and chaired a review meeting related to security scenario, law and order, Yatra Preparedness, Anti Terrorist ops, Anti-drug drive, and other issues related to day-to-day policing.

DIG CKR visited Police Component & Joint interrogation center Ganderbal, and took stock of Anti terrorist operational duties. He also visited under construction building of Police Post Nagbal at Shuhama.

Apart from review of security scenario DIG CKR also took stock of Amarnath Yatra preparations which is likely to be commenced on 30th June 2022. He gave certain directions to district police officers to conduct safe and secured Amarnath ji Yatra.

During the meeting, he added that anti national elements need to be taken to task so that terrorist activities are curbed to the fullest and directed to focus on modern policing techniques in investigation and particularly dealing with terrorism.

He also laid emphasis on strengthening the police-public relations, service oriented policing and to gain the confidence and trust of the people to maintain peace and tranquility in the district.

The meeting was attended by SSP Ganderbal Shri Nikhil Borkar-IPS, ASP Ganderbal Shri Feroz Yehya-JKPS, SDPO Kangan Shri Yasir Qadri-JKPS, DySP Headquarters Ganderbal Shri Ghulam Hassan-JKPS, Shri Muzaffar Jan-JKPS, DySP PC Ganderbal Shri Manoj Kumar-JKPS and other senior Police officers of the District.
