JAMMU… MAR 16… Art of Living Conducts Workshop of Medha Yoga Program At Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School in Darhal Malkan, Rajouri (J&K) in which 82 female students of class 10th to 12th Participated with Full Zeal and Enthusism.
Shruti Dhiman the faculty from Art of living International Centre , Bangalore took the sessions for 4 days for all the participants which mainly focuses on Social, Emotional, and Physical health for children from 13+ to 18 years with objective to make them How to learn to Handle Anger & Aggression calmly, Improve Focus , Handle Pressure effectively. Further elaborating on How will teens benefit from this program She said they have learnt how to Overcome anger, aggression, and depression with special techniques to relieve stress & reduce anxiety in these 4 days, further to direct their efforts with greater concentration, multiplying their output while optimizing your inputs, along with Effectively Handling Peer pressure, competitions, appearance, hormones, relationship issues – to sail through all the challenges of adolescence.
The Medha Yoga program focuses on making teens stress-free and happy yet focused go-getters. This program will help teens overcome negative emotions and deal with stress through special breathing techniques they learnt.

With tips and discussions around topics like studies, peer pressure, and self-esteem, the program guided them to achieve their full potential. In addition, important life skills like teamwork and cooperation were part of this workshop through interactive processes and games. Medha Yoga is based on techniques developed by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, ancient yogic techniques and exercises. Along with meditation, yoga, and breathing techniques, teens are taught to live a full and confident life while overcoming their doubts, inhibitions, fears, and anxieties. They discuss their issues on an open platform and feel one with their fellow participants. A sense of belonging is what teens need most and this program offers it to them. They are also introduced to spirituality and Indian heritage. The program is interactive and teens are welcome to put forth their opinions and observations and get their doubts resolved. Shy teens learn to overcome their inhibitions and speak up during and after this program.
Research shows that ‘Happy Teens turn into Healthy Adults’. But happy teens are becoming a rarity. The transition from childhood to adulthood is fraught with challenges that increase stress – academics, entrance exams, peer pressure, and relationships. The Principal and senior staff of Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School at Darhal Malkan , Rajouri ( J&K) also thanked Art of Living and particularly The faculty to take this initiative at such remote area of Jammu and Kashmir for better being of Students.
