He said that a minor Kashmiri student studying in one of the educational institutions in Madhya Pradesh allegedly posted an objectional video on social media regarding the ‘Pulwama Attack’ saying the killing of security forces was the revenge for Babri Masjid demolition. “A complaint has filed on behalf of college against the student and the said student is presently in Madhya Pradesh Police custody, Khuehami said while quoting Principal of the College Vijay Jain.

He has been arrested and booked under sedition. The mobile phone and laptop of the student have been seized as well, he informed.

While condemning the act of the student, the spokesperson has urged all Kashmiri students to focus on their education and not to write provocative content on social media to add fuel to the fire.

“We request students to avoid debates and don’t get provoked. Please be calm and don’t invite trouble,” the Association said adding sentiments of everyone should be respected.

The J&K Students Association however said that the sedition is a very harsh punishment as it will ruin the career of the student. (KNT)
