KARNAH, November 8 (JKNS): In a gesture aimed at strengthening the bond of friendship, mutual trust and goodwill between the Indian Army and the local population, the Indian Army celebrated the auspicious occasion of Diwali with great enthusiasm in Sub-Division Karnah on Saturday.

On the occasion, the Indian Army invited members of Karnah Civil Society, schoolchildren and people belonging to different sections of society to join the celebrations and share the happiness of the festival. The gathering witnessed an atmosphere of warmth, joy and mutual respect, as Army personnel interacted with the guests and exchanged festive greetings.

As part of the celebrations, sweets were distributed among schoolchildren, members of civil society and other participants. The initiative brought smiles to the faces of children and provided an opportunity for people from different walks of life to come together and celebrate the festival in a spirit of unity, brotherhood and communal harmony.

A special highlight of the occasion was the participation of Ex-Servicemen, who joined the celebrations and extended their heartfelt Diwali greetings to the Army personnel. Their presence added significance to the event, reflecting the enduring relationship between serving soldiers, veterans and the local community.

The Ex-Servicemen also interacted with Army personnel and conveyed their warm wishes, acknowledging the dedication and sacrifices of soldiers serving in the challenging border region of Karnah.

The initiative was widely appreciated as a positive step towards promoting social harmony, strengthening civil-military relations and fostering a sense of togetherness among different sections of society.

Such occasions provide an opportunity to bridge distances, strengthen mutual understanding and reinforce the spirit of unity and brotherhood, particularly in border areas like Karnah, where the Indian Army and local residents share a close relationship.

The celebration concluded with the exchange of festive greetings and sweets, spreading the message of peace, happiness, prosperity and communal harmony.

The event once again highlighted the importance of mutual respect, community participation and the strong bond between the Indian Army and the people of Karnah. (JKNS)
