Budgam, October 17: Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Khansahib, Jenab Saif-ud-Din Bhat, along with Professor (Dr.) Iffat Hassan Shah, Principal of Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar, visited Primary Health Centre (PHC) Khag to inspect ongoing developmental works and review the overall functioning of the institution and the healthcare facilities available to patients.

During the visit, they inspected the ongoing developmental works and discussed the need for modern medical machinery, advanced equipment, and other essential healthcare facilities to strengthen the institution. The discussions focused on equipping PHC Khag with modern medical technology and upgraded facilities to ensure better and quality healthcare services for the people of Khag and its adjoining areas.

MLA Khansahib Saif-ud-Din Bhat emphasised the importance of strengthening healthcare infrastructure, particularly in far-flung areas, where people often face difficulties accessing advanced medical facilities. He stressed the need to ensure that residents receive improved healthcare services closer to their homes, reducing the hardships faced by patients who have to travel long distances for medical treatment.

He also highlighted the importance of making essential medical equipment and modern facilities available at healthcare institutions to improve patient care and strengthen the overall healthcare delivery system.

Senior citizens from Khag Tehsil were also present on the occasion and warmly welcomed MLA Saif-ud-Din Bhat and GMC Srinagar Principal Professor (Dr.) Iffat Hassan Shah. They expressed hope that the visit would help accelerate developmental initiatives and lead to improvements in the availability and quality of healthcare services at PHC Khag.

PHC Khag serves as an important healthcare facility for residents of Khag and its adjoining areas, providing access to basic medical services. Strengthening the institution with modern equipment and improved facilities is expected to help address the healthcare needs of the local population and reduce the difficulties faced by residents of remote areas in accessing medical treatment.

The visit reflects the focus on improving healthcare infrastructure in Khansahib Constituency and addressing the medical needs of the people through better facilities, modern equipment, and improved healthcare services.

Local residents expressed hope that the issues discussed during the visit would receive due attention and that necessary steps would be taken to further strengthen PHC Khag for the benefit of the people.
