Srinagar, Oct 6 (JKNS): A 53-year-old woman died after being hit by an e-rickshaw in the Ishbar Nishat area on the outskirts of Srinagar, officials said.

Officials told news agency JKNS, the woman, identified as Shafiqa, wife of Mushtaq Ahmad Lone and a resident of Ishbar Nishat, sustained a head injury in the accident.

 

She was initially shifted to a hospital for treatment and was later referred to SKIMS, where she succumbed to her injuries.

 

The accident involved an e-rickshaw bearing registration number JK01BE-5707.

 

Police have arrested the driver in connection with the incident and initiated further proceedings, officials said. (JKNS)
