KARNAH, OCTOBER 05 (JKNS): Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Kupwara Ghulam Rasool JKAS today chaired a comprehensive review meeting at the Sub-Divisional Headquarters, Karnah, to take stock of ongoing developmental initiatives and implementation of various Government schemes across the Sub-Division.

 

During the meeting, the ADDC conducted a detailed sector-wise review of developmental works being executed by PWD (R&B), PMGSY, Jal Shakti, KPDCL, Rural Development Department and under RDSS, focusing on physical progress, timelines, quality of execution and bottlenecks affecting completion.

 

The ADDC directed the executing agencies to proactively accelerate the pace of works while maintaining prescribed quality standards and ensuring timely completion. He stressed regular field monitoring and close inter-departmental coordination for prompt resolution of issues impeding execution.

 

The meeting also reviewed implementation of various beneficiary-oriented schemes of Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry Departments. The concerned departments were directed to intensify awareness and outreach camps to ensure maximum coverage of eligible beneficiaries and effective delivery of scheme benefits at the grassroots level.

 

Special emphasis was laid on Farmer ID generation, with directions for coordinated efforts between the Revenue and Agriculture Departments to expedite the process and achieve the assigned targets within stipulated timelines.

 

Earlier, SDM Karnah, Mohd Raiyaz JKAS, presented a detailed sector-wise presentation highlighting the status and progress of ongoing developmental works, implementation of Government schemes and issues requiring intervention.

 

The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer PWD (R&B) Tangdhar, Executive Engineer Hydraulics, Executive Engineer PMGSY Kupwara, Tehsildar Karnah, BMO Karnah, ZEOs, CDPO Tangdhar, representative of RDSS, AEE KPDCL and other officers of the concerned departments.

 

Following the review meeting, the ADDC conducted spot inspections of various works under execution across Karnah to assess their progress and quality on the ground.

 

He inspected the ongoing OT works at SDH Tangdhar, NTPHC Hajinar, Naibat Tangdhar, construction of Revenue Hut and ongoing works at Naichayan.

 

During the inspections, the ADDC interacted with the concerned officers and executing agencies and directed them to maintain quality of execution, adhere to stipulated timelines and expedite completion of the works so that the intended benefits reach the public at the earliest.

 

The ADDC reiterated that developmental works and public welfare programmes should be monitored closely at the field level, with emphasis on timely execution, quality, accountability and tangible outcomes for the people of Karnah.(JKNS)
