The programme, titled “What Is New in Cardiology 2026”, will focus on emerging technologies and contemporary approaches that are reshaping the diagnosis and treatment of complex cardiovascular conditions.

The CME will be held at Hotel Radisson Blu, Jammu, at 8 pm, and will feature Dr Amit Bhushan Sharma, Senior Director and Unit Head – Interventional Cardiology, PARAS Health Gurugram, as the academic speaker.

Dr Sharma is expected to take participants through some of the significant advances in contemporary cardiology, with particular emphasis on leadless pacing, TAVR and MitraClip, 3D radiofrequency ablation (3D RFA), transcatheter mitral valve replacement (TMVR), OCT and orbital atherectomy.

The session is aimed at providing clinicians with an opportunity to understand the evolving landscape of interventional cardiology and discuss how newer technologies can expand treatment options for patients with complex cardiac conditions.

The programme will also bring together senior members of the medical fraternity as panellists, including Dr Pavan Malhotra, President, IMA Jammu Chapter; Dr Sanjeev Narang, Honorary Secretary; Dr Gurjeet Singh, Executive Council Member; and Dr Mohan Lal, Member, IMA.

Dr Devinder Kumar Manyal, Hon’ble MLA and Patron, IMA Jammu Chapter, will be the Chief Guest.

The CME is expected to provide a platform for academic exchange between specialists and practitioners, while highlighting the growing importance of technology-driven and minimally invasive approaches in cardiovascular care.

The programme will be followed by dinner and cocktails.

Key areas of focus

Leadless pacing, TAVR and MitraClip, 3D Radiofrequency Ablation

TMVR, Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Orbital atherectomy

The event underlines PARAS Health’s continued engagement with the medical community through academic initiatives and knowledge-sharing programmes aimed at keeping clinicians abreast of advances in specialised healthcare. Here’s a concise, professional quote suitable for the press release:

Seema Vig, Senior Vice President and Regional Director, PARAS Health, said:

“Cardiology is advancing rapidly, and it is important that clinicians in Jammu and Kashmir remain connected with the latest innovations shaping cardiovascular care. Through this CME, we aim to create a meaningful platform for knowledge exchange and professional dialogue around new-age, minimally invasive cardiac interventions. At PARAS Health, we remain committed to strengthening clinical collaboration and bringing advanced healthcare expertise closer to patients and the medical community in the region.”This keeps the tone institutional, forward-looking and aligned with PARAS Health’s focus on clinical excellence and knowledge-sharing.
