Srinagar, Oct 3 (JKNS): The Indian Army apprehended a 17-year-old girl from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) after she was spotted crossing the Line of Control (LoC) in the Nowshera sector of Rajouri district.
Officials told news agency JKNS that, Army personnel noticed the movement of a woman near the LoC in the Lam sector and subsequently detained her.
The girl was identified as Samiya Azeem, daughter of Mohd Azeem, a resident of Khuiretta in PoJK.
Following preliminary questioning, the Army handed her over to the local police, officials said.
The girl is currently being questioned by Nowshera Police and has reportedly told investigators that she crossed into the Indian side inadvertently.
Further investigation into the matter is underway. (JKNS)
