Budgam, September 29: New Daffodils English School, Shazahadpora Dangarpora, B.K. Pora, Budgam, organised its Annual Day programme with enthusiasm and participation from students, teachers, parents and members of the local community.
The programme was attended by several distinguished personalities, including former Deputy Commissioner Farooq Renzu Shah, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, a social worker and prominent member of the local community, Dr. Sareer (JKAS), Financial Adviser, Jal Shakti Department, and Ambedkar Gupta, President of the J&K Karate Association. Their presence added significance to the programme and encouraged students participating in various activities.
On the occasion, School Chairman Syed Urooj Andrabi welcomed the chief guests, distinguished personalities, parents, teachers and students. He expressed gratitude to all the guests for attending the programme and appreciated their support in encouraging students and promoting their talents.
School Principal Vinod Kumar also addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of quality education along with co-curricular activities in shaping the personality and future of students. He said schools play an important role in providing children with opportunities to develop confidence, discipline, creativity, communication skills and a sense of responsibility.
During the Annual Day programme, students presented a variety of cultural, educational and sports-related performances. Young students showcased their talent, confidence and creativity through songs, cultural presentations, speeches and other activities. The efforts and preparation of both students and teachers were evident throughout the programme.
Various performances focused on themes of unity, Kashmir’s rich cultural heritage, social harmony and peaceful coexistence. Students presented cultural programmes highlighting the diverse traditions, culture and values of Kashmir. The audience appreciated the confident performances and encouraged the participating students.
Sports and physical activities also received special attention during the Annual Day programme. Students participated in different sports and activities, while a karate demonstration highlighted discipline, physical fitness, concentration and self-confidence. The demonstration also underlined the role of martial arts and sports in the overall personality development of children.
A special song dedicated to mothers was also presented by the students, which was appreciated by the audience. Through the performance, the students expressed their love, respect and gratitude towards their mothers.
The Annual Day provided students with an important platform to come on stage and demonstrate their abilities. Such opportunities help students build confidence and overcome stage fear.
