Sopore, Sept 28 (JKNS): Continuing its sustained drive against the drug menace, Sopore Police today conducted a wild cannabis (Bhang) destruction drive at Bomai, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bomai.
During the drive, wild cannabis spread over approximately 03 kanals of State land was destroyed on the spot.
The drive was carried out with the active participation of civil society members of Bomai, along with concerned Lumberdars and Chowkidars, reflecting community cooperation in efforts against the drug menace.
Sopore Police appeals to the general public to come forward and share information regarding drug peddling or cultivation of narcotic substances with the nearest police establishment for appropriate action under law.
Sopore Police reiterates its commitment to sustained action against the drug menace and towards building a drug-free society.
