Anantnag, Sept 25 (JKNS): A 15-year-old cyclist was killed after being hit by a tractor at Goswami Wader Brariangan in the Uttersoo area of Shangus in Anantnag district on Friday evening.
Officials told news agency JKNS, the tractor, driven by Gulzar Ahmad Wani, son of Abdul Khaliq Wani, resident of Uttersoo Chanderwaden, hit the cyclist, identified as Muzamil Ahmad, son of Junaid Ahmad Khan, resident of Goswami Wader Brariangan.
The injured boy was immediately shifted to SDH Shangus, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated proceedings. (JKNS)
