Sopore, Sep 19 (JKNS): One motorcyclist was killed while another sustained injuries after their motorcycle collided with a Tata Matador Video Coach at Botingoo, Sopore.
Officials told news agency JKNS that, the deceased has been identified as Mohinoor Mir Ali, a resident of West Bengal, who was reportedly working as a goldsmith in Srinagar.
The injured rider has been identified as Minhaj Mir Ali.
The motorcycle bearing registration number JK01BC-6080 collided with a Tata Matador Video Coach bearing registration number JK05N-9576, which was reportedly on its way towards Sopore from Bandipora.
A team from Police Station Warpora reached the spot and shifted the injured persons to SDH Sopore, where doctors declared Mohinoor Mir Ali brought dead.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident to ascertain the exact circumstances leading to the accident. (JKNS)
