Sopore, Sept 10 (JKNS): As part of its continued efforts to strengthen the bond between the Army and the local community, 52 RR Battalion, organised an awareness lecture on Women Empowerment and Hygiene at Law College, Sopore.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 60 students and 03 faculty members. The session focused on the importance of personal hygiene, health awareness, self-confidence and empowerment of young women to become informed and active contributors to society.
The interaction also provided an opportunity for the students to engage with RMO 52 RR , a female Army officer, whose journey and experiences served as an inspiration for the young women present.
She encouraged the students to pursue their aspirations, explore opportunities in civil administration and the Defence Forces, and play a meaningful role in shaping the future of the region.
The initiative was aimed not only at creating awareness but also at fostering mutual trust, dialogue and cooperation between the Army and the Awaam. Such community outreach programmes provide a platform for meaningful interaction between youth and the Armed Forces, while encouraging young people to explore avenues for personal and professional growth.
The enthusiastic response from the students reflected the growing engagement between the Army and the local community. Initiatives of this nature continue to contribute towards bringing the Awaam closer to the Army and strengthening the spirit of partnership and goodwill in the region. (JKNS)
