Srinagar, Sept 5 (JKNS): Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha on Saturday extended heartfelt greetings to teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day and paid tributes to renowned educationist, philosopher and former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, on his birth anniversary.
In a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor said, “Heartiest greetings to the teachers on Teachers’ Day. Humble tributes to the great educationist, philosopher, and former President, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Ji, on his Janm-Jayanti.”
The LG said Dr. Radhakrishnan’s exemplary life and visionary work continue to serve as a guiding light for generations.
Teachers’ Day is observed in India every year on September 5 to commemorate the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and to acknowledge the contribution of teachers towards shaping society and the future of the nation. (JKNS)
