Kandi , Karnah ,September 02 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Government has ordered the transfer and posting of Dr. Shujaat Ahmad Qureshi, JKAS, as part of a major administrative reshuffle involving a large number of officers across the Union Territory.
As per the government order issued by the General Administration Department, Dr. Shujaat Ahmad Qureshi, who was serving as Executive Officer, J&K State Haj Committee, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to the Government in the General Administration Department (GAD).
The order is part of a wider administrative exercise in which over 130 officers, including several JKAS officers, have been transferred and given new assignments in different departments and field positions.
Dr. Qureshi has been associated with the functioning of the J&K State Haj Committee, where the Executive Officer plays an important administrative role in coordinating Haj-related arrangements and facilitating services for intending pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir.
His new posting in the General Administration Department, one of the key departments of the J&K Government, marks a shift from his previous assignment with the Haj Committee to a broader administrative role at the government level.
The latest reshuffle has resulted in several significant changes in the administrative structure, with officers being moved between departments including General Administration, Social Welfare, Tourism, Revenue, Public Works, Food and Civil Supplies, Rural Development and other sectors.
The transfer and posting orders have been issued by the General Administration Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir, and the concerned officers are required to take charge of their new assignments as per the directions contained in the government order.
The reshuffle is being viewed as a major administrative exercise aimed at strengthening and streamlining the functioning of various departments across the Union Territory.(JKNS)
