Anantnag, Aug18 (JKNS): In a major action against habitual offenders and individuals allegedly involved in fraudulent activities, Anantnag Police has booked a notorious fraudster under the provisions of the Public Safety Act (PSA).
As per news agency JKNS, The action has been initiated against Tasaduq Hussain Dar, son of Ab. Gani Dar, a resident of Sadoora, Anantnag, following the issuance of a PSA detention warrant by the District Magistrate, Anantnag.
Acting upon the warrant, Anantnag Police apprehended the detenue and completed the required legal and procedural formalities. He was subsequently lodged in District Jail, Bhaderwah, under the provisions of the PSA.
According to police, the detention is part of its continued efforts to maintain peace, public order and curb the activities of habitual offenders whose conduct is considered detrimental to society.
Anantnag Police reiterated that strict legal action will continue to be taken against individuals involved in activities that pose a threat to public order and the safety and well-being of the general public. (JKNS)
