The injured woman was identified as Fatima, 57, wife of Mohammad Maqbool Wani, a resident of Shah Mohalla, Khonmoh.

The latest incident comes a day after a man was injured in a separate bear attack in the Shiv Dakri area of Khonmoh, raising fresh concerns over the movement of the wild animal in residential areas.

The back-to-back attacks have caused apprehension among locals, who are concerned about their safety, particularly during morning and evening hours.

Authorities are likely to assess the situation and take necessary measures to prevent further human-wildlife conflict in the area. (JKNS)
