“Stay Fit, Stay Healthy”: Experts Urge Students to Choose Sports Over Screen Distractions

Srinagar, Aug 17 (JKNS): An awareness and interaction programme on the theme “Stay Fit, Stay Healthy” was organised for students at Harvard School, Malla Agh, where eminent experts encouraged children to adopt healthy lifestyles, participate in sports and athletics, and limit distractions associated with excessive mobile phone and social media use.

As per news agency JKNS, the interaction featured SSP Traffic Ajaz Ahmad, IPS; Dr Naveed Shah, pulmonologist; and Dr Ishfaq, musculoskeletal and physiotherapy expert, who engaged with the students and shared guidance on physical fitness, health and overall well-being.

The speakers stressed the need to dissuade children from excessive use of mobile phones and social media, highlighting the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between technology, studies and physical activity.

The students were encouraged to actively participate in sports, athletics and other outdoor activities to improve their physical fitness, mental well-being and overall quality of life.

The experts also urged students to develop healthy daily routines and make physical activity an integral part of their lives from an early age. (JKNS)
