Kupwara Police Solves Masjid Theft Case Within 10 Hours; Stolen Property Recovered, Accused Arrested

Kupwara, Aug 7 (JKNS): Police Station Sogam successfully solved a theft case involving a copper water tank belonging to a Masjid within 10 hours of receiving the complaint.

Acting swiftly, multiple police teams from Police Station Sogam were constituted. Through meticulous analysis of CCTV footage, technical evidence, and other investigative leads, the accused was identified and apprehended.

During the investigation, the stolen copper water tank was recovered, and the vehicle used in the commission of the offence was also seized.

In this regard, FIR No. 34/2026 under the relevant provisions of law has been registered at Police Station Sogam. Further investigation is underway. (JKNS)
