Srinagar, Aug 6 (JKNS): Ruling National Conference (NC) President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Thursday reiterated that the August 5, 2019 decision regarding Jammu and Kashmir was unconstitutional and said the party’s protest against the move would continue.
Speaking to reporters, as per the news agency JKNS, Dr. Abdullah said, “Everyone knows what happened on August 5, 2019 was unconstitutional. That is why our protest will continue.”
Referring to the opposition’s protest in Parliament on the issue, he said it reflected the party’s continued stand against the constitutional changes made on August 5, 2019.
When asked about BJP MP Giriraj Singh’s remarks targeting PDP president Mehbooba Mufti, Dr. Abdullah declined to comment, saying, “I have nothing to say on that. I am the President of the National Conference.” (JKNS)
