Srinagar, Aug 4 (JKNS): Jammu and Kashmir has achieved the status of a Fully Literate Union Territory under the ULLAS (Understanding Lifelong Learning for All in Society) Scheme of the Government of India, recording a remarkable 99.09% success rate, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha announced on Tuesday.

According to the post shared by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor on X as per news agency JKNS, J&K has become the largest population region in the country to attain the milestone under the ULLAS scheme.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha congratulated teachers, administrators and all stakeholders who contributed to achieving the landmark feat.

“UT of Jammu Kashmir proudly joins the league of Fully Literate States/UTs under the ULLAS scheme of Government of India. With 99.09% success, it stands tall as the largest population region to achieve this milestone.

Congratulations to our teachers, administrators and every stakeholder who made this possible,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

He emphasized that education remains the strongest tool for empowerment and urged all stakeholders to continue strengthening the mission of inclusive learning.

“Let us always remember that education is the truest force of empowerment and our collective responsibility is to keep advancing this mission,” the Lieutenant Governor added. (JKNS)
