Budgam, July 16 (JKNS): Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, on Thursday paid obeisance at the revered Aasar-e-Sharif at Peth Makhama, Magam, and the shrine of Baba Latifuddin Rishi at Poshkar in Budgam district.
She offered prayers for peace and prosperity, reviewed the facilities available for devotees, and reiterated the Waqf Board’s commitment to preserving the religious heritage of shrines while strengthening infrastructure and public amenities.
As per news agency JKNS, Andrabi, paid obeisance at the revered Aasar-e-Sharif, Peth Makhama Magam & the shrine of Baba Latifuddin Rishi at Poshkar Khag in Budgam district where she offered prayers for peace, prosperity, and the well-being of the people.
During her visit, Dr. Andrabi conducted a comprehensive inspection of the shrine complexs and reviewed the facilities and arrangements available for devotees.
She assessed the overall maintenance, cleanliness, public amenities, and infrastructure within the shrine premises, emphasizing the need to ensure a comfortable and spiritually enriching experience for visitors.
Interacting with local residents, devotees, and shrine functionaries, Dr Andrabi patiently listened to their suggestions and concerns regarding the development and upkeep of the historic shrine.
She reiterated the J&K Waqf Board’s commitment to preserving the sanctity, heritage, and religious significance of shrines while continuously upgrading facilities for pilgrims.
She assured the locals that all genuine issues raised during the visit would be examined on priority and addressed through a coordinated approach.
Dr. Andrabi reaffirmed that the Waqf Board remains dedicated to strengthening shrine infrastructure, improving public amenities, and ensuring transparent and efficient management of all Waqf-managed religious institutions across. (JKNS)
