Srinagar, July 10 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday said he has directed the civil administration and health authorities to ensure the best possible treatment for six Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh who met with a road accident near Toldi Nallah in Udhampur while travelling towards the Pahalgam base camp.

LG Sinha in a post on X, as per news agency JKNS, said he received a report regarding the accident involving six pilgrims from Rewa district of Madhya Pradesh.

He said the devotees were travelling to the Pahalgam base camp for the annual pilgrimage when their vehicle skidded off the road near Toldi Nallah.

According to the LG, one pilgrim sustained serious injuries and has been shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu for advanced treatment, while the other five are in stable condition and are undergoing treatment at GMC Udhampur.

“I have directed the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and medical officials at GMC Jammu and GMC Udhampur to ensure they receive the best possible treatment,” the Lieutenant Governor said.

Praying for the injured pilgrims, Sinha said, “I pray to Lord Shiva for their swift recovery.” (JKNS)
