Jammu, July 3 (JKNS): Jammu Police on Friday refuted social media rumours claiming that pilgrims had died at Yatri Niwas in Jammu, terming the reports completely false.
An official told news agency JKNS that, “no deaths have occurred at Yatri Niwas and that all pilgrims are safe.”
It is urged to public not to pay heed to unverified information circulating on social media and rely only on official sources for updates related to the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, official said.
“Claims on social media about pilgrim deaths at Yatri Niwas, Jammu, are completely false. No deaths have occurred. All pilgrims are safe. Jammu Police remains committed to every pilgrim’s safety,” the official added. (JKNS)
