Srinagar, July 1 (JKNS): Senior leaders of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) on Wednesday met party president Dr. Farooq Abdullah at his Gupkar residence in Srinagar to review and finalise arrangements for the party’s proposed protest at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi to press for restoration of statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the statement issued here to news agency JKNS, Party spokesperson said, the meeting resolved that all constituent parties of the INDIA Bloc, along with other political parties in Jammu and Kashmir, would be formally invited to participate in the protest.

The leaders also decided to extend invitations to political parties that are not part of the INDIA Bloc but are also not aligned with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

As part of the outreach, formal invitation letters will be sent to all political parties in Jammu and Kashmir, with Dr. Farooq Abdullah personally writing to their respective leaders, inviting them to join the proposed protest in New Delhi. (JKNS)
