Bandipora, Jun 22 (JKNS): Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Baramulla, successfully organised an International Yoga Day programme at Hajin in Bandipora district, with enthusiastic participation from youth, volunteers, students, and members of the local community.

The event aimed to promote the importance of yoga for a healthy and balanced lifestyle.

The programme was graced by Dr. Shakir Shafi, Principal, ML Higher Secondary School Hajin, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the significance of yoga in maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, and emotional balance, and encouraged the younger generation to adopt yoga as a daily practice.

The event commenced with a brief introduction on the significance of International Yoga Day, followed by a yoga session in which participants performed various asanas and breathing exercises under the guidance of trained instructors.

Speaking on the occasion, the organisers emphasised that yoga is not merely a form of physical exercise but a holistic practice that promotes discipline, inner peace, and harmony. They also highlighted its role in reducing stress, improving concentration, and enhancing overall health.

Participants appreciated the initiative and pledged to make yoga a regular part of their daily lives while spreading awareness about its numerous benefits within the community.
