Srinagar, Jun 22 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday extended warm greetings to the people on the sacred occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami, with special wishes for the Kashmiri Pandit community, and prayed for peace, happiness, good health and prosperity for all.
In a post on X, the Office of the J&K Lieutenant Governor, as per news agency JKNS, quoting LG Sinha as saying, “Heartiest greetings to all, especially our Kashmiri Pandit brothers and sisters, on the sacred occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami.”
The Lieutenant Governor prayed that Mata Kheer Bhawani continues to guide everyone on the path of righteousness and shower blessings of peace, happiness, good health and prosperity upon all.
Jyeshtha Ashtami is observed with great religious fervour by Kashmiri Pandits and is associated with the revered Mata Kheer Bhawani shrine at Tulmulla in Ganderbal district. (JKNS)
