Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan Arrives in Ladakh on First Official Visit

Leh, Jun 20 (JKNS): Vice President of India C. P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Ladakh on Friday on his first official visit to the Union Territory and was accorded a warm traditional welcome upon his arrival.

As per news agency JKNS, the Vice President landed at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, where he was received by Vinai Kumar Saxena, Chief Executive Councillor of Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil Dr. Mohd Jaffer Akhoon, Member of Parliament from Ladakh Mohmad Haneefa and other dignitaries.

The Vice President received a traditional welcome marking the beginning of his maiden official visit to Ladakh.

 

During his stay, Radhakrishnan is scheduled to participate in the International Day of Yoga celebrations in Leh on June 21.

 

Officials said the visit underscores the significance of Ladakh in the national landscape and is expected to include participation in various official engagements during his stay in the Union Territory. (JKNS)
