Shopian, June 11 (JKNS): A search and rescue operation was launched by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Thursday after a youth reportedly drowned in a nallah at Reshnagri area.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS, the SDRF component Shopian initiated the operation after receiving information that Imran Ahmad Doya, son of Mohammad Aslam Doya, a resident of Sedew, Shopian, had reportedly drowned in the Reshnagri nallah.
Rescue teams were immediately mobilised and launched an intensive search operation to trace the missing person.
Officials said the operation was continuing till the filing of this report, with SDRF personnel making sustained efforts to locate the youth. (JKNS)
