Srinagar, Jun 1 (JKNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has assigned the charge of General Secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Branch, to IAS officer Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak with immediate effect.

According to an order issued by the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, a copy of which lies with news agency JKNS, the arrangement has been made following the expiry of the tenure of Rohit Khajuria as General Secretary of the Indian Red Cross Society, J&K UT Branch, on May 31, 2026.

The order stated that Shubhankar Pratyush Pathak, IAS, presently serving as Additional Secretary in the Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat, shall hold the charge of the post of General Secretary, IRCS J&K UT Branch, with effect from June 1, 2026, in addition to his own duties.

The arrangement will remain in force till further orders, the notification said.

The order has been issued under the authority of the Lieutenant Governor, who is also the President of the Indian Red Cross Society, J&K UT Branch. (JKNS)
