UG Admissions 2026: Last Date for Online Applications Extended Till May 30

Srinagar, May 28 (JKNS): The Higher Education Department has extended the last date for submission of online application forms and updation of preferences for admission to Undergraduate (UG) programmes in Government Degree Colleges across Jammu and Kashmir for the Academic Session 2026-27.

According to an official notification issued by Director Colleges J&K Dr. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir, as per news agency JKNS, the decision was taken in view of numerous representations received from aspirants and the general public.

As per the revised schedule, candidates can now submit their online application forms and update college or programme preferences on the official admission portal — [JK Admissions Portal](https://jkadmissions.in?utm_source=chatgpt.com) — till May 30, 2026, up to 5:00 PM.

The notification further stated that applicants whose forms have been flagged by verifiers must respond to the clarifications raised within the stipulated period, failing which their application forms are liable to be rejected.

Officials said all other terms and conditions shall remain unchanged as notified in the original admission advertisement notice issued on May 2, 2026. (JKNS)
