The officer said teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) are also making an exemplary contribution to the ongoing operation.

Officials said the rescue operation was launched immediately after the Gondola services developed a technical fault, leaving several tourists stranded inside cable car cabins amid adverse weather conditions.
