Oil Industry Assures Smooth Fuel, LPG Supply Across J&K; Public Asked to Avoid Panic Buying

Jammu, May 18 (JKNS): The Oil Industry on Monday assured that the overall supply position of petrol, diesel and LPG across Jammu and Kashmir remains stable and adequate, with uninterrupted availability of essential petroleum products across the Union Territory.

The overall fuel supply position in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir continues to remain stable and adequate, said Shri Himanshu Sharma, State Level Coordinator, Oil Industry, as per news agency JKNS.

In a statement issued here today, he informed that the entire supply chain, including terminals, depots and retail outlets, is functioning efficiently without any disruption. He said the Public Sector Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have informed that the availability of essential petroleum products, including petrol, diesel and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), remains normal and uninterrupted across Jammu & Kashmir. Fuel stocks are being continuously monitored and replenishment activities are progressing smoothly across all locations, he added.

Shri Sharma further stated that LPG supplies to domestic consumers are being prioritized and are being maintained normally across the Union Territory. Necessary steps are being taken to ensure uninterrupted delivery to all consumers.

The Oil Industry is maintaining close coordination on logistics, stock movement and retail operations to ensure seamless availability of fuel across the region.Appealing to citizens to avoid panic buying, Shri Sharma advised the public to continue with normal consumption patterns and rely only on official communications issued by OMCs for accurate and verified information regarding fuel availability.
