The camp was organised with the objective of providing quality healthcare facilities and specialised medical consultation to the people living in farbflung border areas. A large number of patients from Tangdar and adjoining villages attended the camp and benefitted from the medical services provided by expert doctors and specialists.

The primary focus of the camp was the screening and early detection of cancer patients through specialised consultation and diagnosis by a team of experienced oncologists. The initiative proved highly beneficial for patients by providing them access to precise diagnosis, timely medical guidance and expert consultation at their doorstep.

Apart from cancer screening, the camp also witnessed the participation of doctors from various medical disciplines including Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, General Medicine, Audiometry and Gynaecology. Free medical tests and a free pharmacy facility for distribution of medicines were also made available to the patients during the camp.

The event received an overwhelming response from the local population, reflecting the strong bond and enduring trust between the Awam and the Security Forces. Locals appreciated the humanitarian efforts of the Indian Army and collaborating agencies for bringing specialised healthcare services to the border areas.

The successful conduct of the camp once again highlighted the commitment of the Indian Army towards the welfare and wellbbeing of the people of Kupwara while strengthening the spirit of unity, cooperation and mutual trust in the region.(JKNS)
