Missing Youth’s Body Recovered from Nallah Sindh After 14-Day Massive Search Operation in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, May 8 (JKNS): After an intense 14-day-long search operation, the body of a missing youth was recovered from Nallah Sindh in the Wussan Bella area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Friday.

Officials told news agency JKNS that the deceased was identified as Muneer Ahmad Shah, son of Mehboob Shah, a resident of Wussan Bella area of Ganderbal.

The search operation was jointly carried out by Jammu and Kashmir Police, SDRF teams from Ganderbal, Manasbal and Gund, with active support from local volunteers and residents.

Officials said the operation resumed on Thursday morning after teams continued extensive searches across various stretches of the river following reports that the youth had drowned nearly two weeks ago.

After sustained efforts for fourteen consecutive days under difficult conditions, the body was finally traced and recovered near the area where the youth had reportedly gone missing.

Following the recovery, the body was shifted for medico-legal formalities while further proceedings in the matter have been initiated by the authorities. (JKNS)
