Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, as per news agency JKNS, Itoo said, “They have never stood for the people. They are used to lying. They have been misleading people for a long time.”

Referring to the controversy over Urdu, she said, “No one can remove the Urdu language. Language is our identity and our life. Kashmiri, Urdu, Pahadi, all these languages are part of our soul.”

The Minister alleged that PDP was trying to hide its past actions, including its political decisions. “They want to conceal the mistakes they have made earlier and even now. They supported the BJP in the Rajya Sabha elections and are now trying to distract people by raising baseless issues,” she said.

She further claimed that several decisions taken in the past had adversely affected the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

“Today we are without statehood and many rights have been taken away. The land rights given earlier have been revoked, and job opportunities are no longer limited to locals,” she said.

Itoo added that instead of addressing real issues, certain political groups were attempting to mislead the public. “They are bringing up matters that have no reality just to divert attention from their own failures,” she said. (JKNS)
