Brief Rain Spells Likely as Cloud Cover Persists in J&K: MeT

Srinagar, Apr 11 (JKNS): The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted partly to generally cloudy weather with intermittent light rain at scattered places across Jammu and Kashmir over the coming days.

Director Meteorological Department, Dr Mukhtar Ahmad, as per news agency JKNS, said that on April 11, the region is likely to witness partly to generally cloudy skies with chances of brief light showers at scattered locations, mainly during afternoon or evening hours.

He said that April 12 is expected to remain largely dry, though isolated areas may receive brief light rain during the afternoon, while the weather from April 13 to 15 is likely to stay generally dry.

From April 16 to 17, the weather is expected to turn generally cloudy with possibilities of light rain or thundershowers at scattered places towards late afternoon or evening hours, he added, noting that from April 18 to 22, the weather is likely to remain mostly dry.

The MeT department has also advised farmers to resume their agricultural activities in view of the overall favourable weather conditions. (JKNS)
